A Memorial Plaque to M.R. James was unveiled in St Peter's Church, Great Livermere (Suffolk), on September 26, 1998.
The photograph at the top of this page shows the view over the Mere from Livermere churchyard (as in the poem which MRJ wrote in 1888: "...And was it the head of a man long dead / That raised itself out of the mere?").
All pictures were taken by Darroll Pardoe,
John Smith or Jean Upton, and are copyright (c) 1998 to them.
Last altered August 20, 1999.
